🏈 Houston Texans Trade John Metchie III - The Houston Texans traded wide receiver John Metchie III to the Philadelphia Eagles for tight end Harrison Bryant. The exchange also included a re-exchange of 2026 draft picks, impacting the team roster.
🛢️ Enterprise Products Partners Crude Oil Leak - A crude oil leak occurred at Enterprise Products Partners' terminal in southeast Houston. No injuries or offsite impacts were reported from the incident, with company officials addressing the spill.
🧠 Texas Expands Mental Illness Detention Reasons - Starting September 1, Texas law will allow detention for mental illness if individuals cannot recognize their psychiatric condition (anosognosia) and it poses a risk of harm, aiming to provide more intervention options.
