Hello and welcome to the last week in March! As a father of two young boys time really does start to fly by as they get older. Hard to grasp. Anyway, this week has some fun events going on.

Monday 24

Meow Wolf (multiple days) - “Five unique experiences with a common purpose: to expand worlds and minds through the lens of Meow Wolf’s kaleidoscopic art. Pick a portal and get lost.”

Cheap Skate Night at the Rink - 5-10 pm - “On select Mondays, gather all your thrifty friends to fill the rink for just $7 plus tax per person. Enjoy an upbeat playlist and plenty of laughs while rolling ‘round the rink.”

Reclaim Creations exhibit at the Health Museum (multiple days) - “Explore the incredible sculptures created by artist Sayaka Ganz, from discarded plastic, while learning about the science of plastic and its impact on our world.”

Tuesday 25

H-Town Roundup 2025 (Mar 24th-Mar 28th) - “Celebrate five years of innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration with FIVE incredible days packed with inspiring talks, networking opportunities, and a showcase of the best in the Greater Houston tech and Startup ecosystem.”

Wine Tasting - Featuring Vinifera Imports - Starts at 6:00 pm • $185 per person all inclusive

Wednesday 26

Jurassic Giants at the Houston Zoo - (multiple days) - “Unleash your inner paleontologist and immerse yourself in a one-of-a-kind prehistoric adventure featuring 6x more Dinosaurs, with 60 NEW dinosaurs at TXU Energy presents Jurassic Giants at the Houston Zoo.”

Jazz Wednesday at Axelrad Beer Garden - 7pm - “Experience the best of local Jazz with our weekly series. Rotating special guests are invited to perform all styles of Jazz every Wednesday evening starting at 7pm. Arrive early to get a good seat or hammock and enjoy the sounds of Jazz. Free concert every week, 7pm-10pm.”

Thursday 27

Astros opening day! 3:10 pm - “Come see your Houston Astros kick off their season at Daikin Park on Astros Opening Day vs the New York Mets on March 27th!”

Friday 28

An Evening with Sally Mayes - Fri and Sat - “Sally is a master storyteller and wants to share them all with you.  This is a do not miss performance that will make you laugh, make you cry, and make you think, from a Broadway veteran at the top of her game.”

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz at Miller Outdoor Theatre - 8pm - “Open Dance Project presents The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a dance theater adaptation of the L. Frank Baum classic. Join Dorothy as she is swept away from her life on a farm in Kansas to a magical Land of OZ, where she learns about friendship and courage with her rag tag group of friends – Scarecrow, Tinman, and Lion.”

Saturday 29

Bayou City Art Festival - Sat and Sun - “Bayou City Art Festival will transform Downtown Houston into a lively outdoor gallery and interactive art event with art, entertainment, and more this spring. Houston’s iconic art festival returns to showcase the works of 250 artists in 19 different categories on Saturday and Sunday, March 29-30, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.”

Lego Party (21+) - “Join us for LEGO Party at Star Sailor! With more than 20 different sets to choose from, we'll have something for everyone. Build it yourself or share the fun with a partner!”

April 25-27 - Mocha Fest with DaBaby - “Mocha Fest Houston Super Weekend is right around the corner, and this year’s edition is shaping up to be our BIGGEST yet! April 24 - May 8 - International Film Festival - “Join us from April 24th to May 4th for an unforgettable celebration of independent cinema at the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival.”
