🏀 Houston Cougars Fall Short in NCAA Championship
The University of Houston men's basketball team narrowly missed securing their first national title, losing to the Florida Gators 65–63.
🏀 Milos Uzan Declares for NBA Draft
Houston Cougars guard Milos Uzan announced his decision to enter the 2025 NBA Draft after a standout season. In his sole season with Houston, Uzan averaged 11.4 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game, earning All-Big 12 second-team honors. He has until May 28 to withdraw his name and retain college eligibility.
🍽️ Black Restaurant Week Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Black Restaurant Week returned to Houston from March 28 to April 13, marking its 10th year. The initiative featured over 100 Black-owned restaurants, offering African American, African, and Caribbean cuisines. The campaign aims to support these businesses through affordable marketing and public relations assistance, especially amid economic challenges.
