Houston Rockets - The Rockets have been significant players in NBA free agency, reportedly making a blockbuster trade for Kevin Durant and being hailed as early winners in the free agency period. They also secured key players, extending Jabari Smith Jr.'s contract for five years and bringing back veteran center Clint Capela on a three-year deal. Additionally, the Rockets added forward Dorian Finney-Smith on a four-year contract.

Houston Astros - The Astros faced recent injury setbacks with shortstop Jeremy Peña going on the injured list with a fractured rib and Yordan Alvarez experiencing another setback with his hand injury, halting his rehab. Despite injuries, the team has found ways to win, including sweeping the Phillies and taking two of three from the Cubs, capping a strong June with their 50th victory.

Houston Texans - Texans safety Jimmie Ward was arrested following a family violence incident and could face an NFL suspension. The team is also exploring potential sites for a new "world-class" headquarters and training facility. Discussions around the team's roster suggest it's not solely built around quarterback C.J. Stroud, with evaluations of players continuing after offseason programs.

Houston Dynamo - Houston Dynamo FC recently fell 3-1 to Minnesota United FC on the road. They also confirmed that MLS legend Nico Lodeiro's recent match against St. Louis CITY SC was his final one for the club, a game which the Dynamo won 1-0.
