“Back in my day” we didn’t start until the last week of August, not sure why Summer has been cut so short. I guess I’m just getting old (I’m only 33).

They still hold a 2.5-game (at time of publication) lead in the AL West over the Seattle Mariners so there's still a bit of cushion before the team should start looking over its shoulder, but the Astros' staggering injury luck might finally be catching up to them.” - read more

  • August 5, 2025 vs. Miami Marlins: The Astros secured a 7-3 victory over the Miami Marlins. Jose Altuve hit a home run in this game, moving into sole possession of 3rd place on the Astros' all-time extra-base hit list.
