Welcome to our brief weekend letter where we give any updates or add new events for the weekend.

As always check all the events from the newsletter sent earlier this week - they won’t be added on this letter - you can see the previous one here.

Events

U of H is in March Madness and already has 1 game in their pocket with an easy win over No. 16 SIUE, coming out 40 to 78. See the highlights here. Second round is on Saturday, TBD on time and opponent.

Heights Kids’ Day of Music - Saturday March 22 - 10am - 2pm - “Our mission is to inspire kids to have a lifelong love of and engagement with music and the arts by introducing them to the talents of local musicians and arts. Local Music and Family Fun!”

Largest canoe and kayak race - 9am - 2:30pm - “Be part of the 53rd BBP Regatta! Registration is officially open! Commit today to join hundreds of paddlers on Saturday, March 22, for the largest canoe and kayak race in Texas. Paddle just for fun or compete in solo, tandem, or unlimited boating categories along a 15-mile stretch of Buffalo Bayou followed by Finish Line festivities.”

Jazzy Sunday - “Three Houston parks are teaming up to celebrate the Houston musicians who keep the tradition of jazz alive and bopping.

The immensely popular series, Jazzy Sundays in the Parks, returns with a kick off party at Discovery Green on Sunday, Feb 23, from 5 – 7 pm.”

Cirque Du Soleil at the Houston Race Park - “As with all Cirque shows, it’s perfect for families to attend and there were plenty of delighted children watching in awe. I felt like one of them.” - Jacob Ngyuen

Awesome new park in Spring - “This expansive playground is designed for all ages and abilities, featuring a towering three-story play structure with slides and climbing obstacles, swings, a splash pad, merry-go-rounds, a putting green, and so much more. It’s the perfect spot for endless outdoor fun!”
